3/2/2022 0 Comments Scary Second Week![]() At the time of writing this update the week isn't technically over but I already know what I am going to do for the rest of the week. The biggest struggle that I figured out was balance and schedule. With being a student-athlete school gets pushed to the side a lot of the times. Not now though, my plan to get genius hour done is to generate ideas and work on my website during the weekdays and on the weekends do the actions that I thought of. The plan for the weekends is that on Friday I will learn how to do a certain idea, Saturday will most likely be a break day unless I have a lot of work I need to catch up on, and Sunday will be the day were I film me doing the idea and explaining it. This plan should work pretty constantly for the twelve weeks, but I am expecting to have a few bumps in the road. This week the idea that I have been thinking about doing is learning how to remove and replace a trucks back light. My dads truck light hasn't been working correctly and needed the bulb replaced so I figured that I could help him out with his truck while also getting stuff for my project done. My dad already knows how to replace the light but hasn't gotten around to doing it yet, he will be my "teacher" for this small fix. (Updated on 03.09.2022)

3/2/2022 1 Comment Frightening First Week![]() Its the frightening first week baby! Expect a funny picture for each word every week. This project looks super intimidating right now, i'm sure i'll do fine! When I started genius hour I underestimated it heavily. Even though I was told many times not to underestimate it I still did. Going into week one of genius hour I thought I would be able to knock it out really easily. Looking back on the first week I can say that I didn't focus enough on genius hour. What I did during the first week consisted of searching up ideas that I can do for my car. This week I was a little bit limited due to not having my car available to actually work on so what I did was attempt to generate twelve ideas that I can actually do. At first the ideas were flowing out pretty good until I got to about around the sixth idea point. The first five consisted of learning how to check oil, replace windshield wipers, how to check air pressure & put air in tires, putting a sub in the trunk, and how to apply a tint to your headlights. That's when I got stumped. Since I am not to familiar with my car it is going to take me a while to figure out the ideas. My plan is to figure out one new idea every week, do that idea, then figure out a new idea for the next week. |
